The Holy Liturgy begins with a procession of the priests, who carry crosses, censers and other liturgical objects. The procession is accompanied by the chanting of hymn. It includes a mix of singing, chanting, and recitation. The congregation sing hymns and responses, while the priests chant prayers and readings from the Bible.
There will be guest speakers who will be sharing their thought-provoking and inspiring teachings during the sermon. This will be an excellent opportunity for our congregation to hear from the most knowledgeable and insightful members of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.

To make your planning easier, we recommend using apps similar to Google Maps, which allows you to input your current location and destination, and provides you with the best available routes, transit schedules and estimated travel times.

While it is possible to find free street parking, it may take some time and effort. Like most places within New York City, parking in the Bronx can be quite challenging. However, with a bit of planning and perseverance you can find a free parking spot.
There are also three parking garages near our church that you may wish to consider. The closest one is located near Montefiore Hospital. It may be a the best option if you are unable to find free street parking.
If you are determined to find free parking, we would recommend allowing extra time to search for a spot. Please prepare yourself to also park a bit further away and potentially walk a few extra blocks. Also, make sure to read all posted signs carefully, as there may be certain restrictions or limitations.
